Hi! I’m Rachel!
I’m often asked how a litigator becomes a relationship expert. Or why someone would leave a secure career in law to become a speaker and media personality? Or maybe it’s just my family asking those questions!
From lawyer to coach to relationship expert may be an unusual path, but I can guarantee you, it may be more linear than you think. As a lawyer, I truly loved mediation - resolution through compromise is powerful, and nothing prepares you to speak in front of 5000 people like standing in front of a judge and jury! As a coach, I live to learn about the human experience - my clients teach me more every day.
I’m a proud graduate of Seton Hall School of Law, and received my undergraduate degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. I went on to become certified in coaching with the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC) and became a Certified Professional Coach. I am also trained in hypnotherapy and meditation - which has proven to be beneficial to my clients.
I’ve had some pretty amazing opportunities in television. I’ve appeared as a relationship expert on Seasons 4 & 5 of Lifetime’s Married at First Sight and TLC’s Kate+Date. I’ve also represented Match, Comfort Suites, and TD Bank as a national spokesperson, presently engaged with Match as its Chief Dating Expert. You can often find me chatting about relationships in every form on shows including The TODAY Show, Good Morning America, CNN/HLN, Access Hollywood Live, The Steve Harvey Show, and Fox News. I’ve also given three TEDx talks, of which I am very proud - most recently Being Authentic in A Filtered World which is presently featured on TED.com (personal goal right there!).
I’m a huge fan of real connection and conversation (it’s kinda my “thing”), so if you have a question or want to chat further - shoot me a note!
